If you're someone who experiences sweating while eating then you're in the right place. In this article, I'll show you some ways that you can stop the sweat and enjoy eating your meal.
What you actually have is a special type of sweating that is activated only when you eat – this is called gustatory perspiration. A name does not really help us though it does, what we need are ways to stop it.
Avoiding Specific Foods
This may not be the best way to tackle the problem, especially if you really enjoy ingredients, but at least you can learn to avoid them if you are going out in public, for instance.
In general, hot and spicy foods will promote sweating more than others. This is the most obvious one.
However, you should also avoid food and drinks that contain stimulants such as coffee, tea and chocolate.
If you sweat only on occasion then it may be that you are allergic to something, for instance an additive.
The best place to start is to try to eat only natural, home made foods for a week. Do not eat any processed food whatever as this will contain additives.
I would also advise seeing your doctor. It is possible that you could have an underlining diabetic condition. Better to be safe than sorry.
Low GI Diet
Many people with sweating problems report that if they modify their diet then it can stop completely. One such natural modification is to eat foods with a lower glycaemic index. This is much more healthy for you anyway.
Eat less white bread and sugar and more vegetables and fruits, especially those with a stone as these are considered lower GI.
