It’s been so long since I’ve eaten something perfect that I felt was genuinely delicious. It really takes a combination of good atmosphere, smell and taste to really make me smile. I LOVE Bo Lo Bao, and I have yet to find a good one in Singapore sadly. When I read about Kam Fung, I had to make a point to visit before I left Hong Kong.
That menu, ohhh…. I wanted to try everything. I wanted to stay in Hong Kong just so I can eat there every morning until I’ve made it through that menu twice over. I picked a ham and egg omelette, bo lo bao with butter, and a hot yuanyang. It was DIVINE.
They absolutely nailed that bo lo bao… and don’t even get me started on the omelette, it was PERFECTION. This photo does not do it any justice, but I had to make some mention of this restaurant here. Some kind of deeply nostalgic flavor that brought back so many sweet memories. I ate two. It was beyond my mortal comprehension how something so simple could taste so good. I will daydream about returning one day to Kam Fung Restaurant. If you have a chance, do stop by there for a coffee or tea and try their buns and anything on their menu, they are WONDEFUL.
